One dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine is most effective in preventing Covid-19 disease, including the new type of corona. Such information was found in documents from the US Food and Drug Administration on Wednesday.
The news comes at a time when a separate panel meeting was called on Friday to approve the ticker. With this, the third will get the approval of another tick in the most affected country in the world. The news agencies AFP and the BBC reported.
The Johnson & Johnson vaccine was found to be 75.9 percent effective in the United States, 61.7 percent in South Africa, and 6 to 6 percent in Brazil.
In these areas, 39,321 people have participated in this test. This vaccine has been found to be 85.4% effective in preventing acute Covid-19 disease. But the effectiveness against the moderate type of disease has dropped to 6.1 percent.
Most importantly, the effectiveness of this vaccine has been analyzed in different demographic groups, without differences in age, race, or people who need long-term treatment.
The vaccine is tolerable, with no response to severe allergies. Which is rare in the case of Pfizer and Modern vaccines. However, mild to moderate side effects such as pain, headache, fatigue, and muscle aches at the injection site have been found in older rather than younger adults participating in clinical trials.
No deaths were reported among vaccinated people. The FDA says a favorable safety image has been found with no specific concerns.
Jeff Giants, the White House coronavirus response coordinator, told reporters that if the vaccine was approved, the central government would want to administer 3-4 million doses next week.
